Scotland felt warmer

I've just spent 3 hours in the Maltese cold air taking pictures of two local football games. It's 7°C outside with a humidity of 70%, Scotland at 1°C felt warmer!!
Anyway the lighting at the Victor Tedesco Stadium was abyssmal as usual. Flood lights going off when they should illuminate the whole pitch. Therefore a high ISO had to be used, sometimes even 6400 resulting in a little bit of noise, but for the local newspaper they will do just fine. In the end I was happy picking a goal and some good action shots.

How to respond to requests for free photography - The Photo Society

This is an interesting article which I have read recently. Unfortunately in this country anyone that snaps photos is considered a photographer.
Therefore, for most clients, the art of photography is taken with a pinch of salt. You may have heard prospective clients say: "Just take a pic and send it to me, what will it cost you?"
Well sir taking a pic has already costed me: cameras, lenses, computers, storage devices, training and my own creativity that makes me unique!

A New Beginning

Here I am writing my first post on my blog. This is something new for me, so all feedback will be appreciated.

Why blogging? I would like to create a journal with all my photographic experiences. Life is a journey and photography is a means to capture my travels. I called the picture above "A new beginning". As I said, blogging is something new for me, I have never had a diary to write on so maybe at first I will find it hard. I will try to post pictures that I will take from time to time. My intentions are to keep this blog updated weekly. I would appreciate comments being good or bad.
